Greetings!
My name is Layne Brubaker and I am so excited to be the new YAV site coordinator. I love the city of New Orleans and I am thrilled to be coordinating the YAV site and serving along side YAV’s of the Presbytery of South Louisiana.
I moved to New Orleans two years ago to work as a Chaplain Resident and living in New Orleans has been an exciting adventure. Before coming to New Orleans, I attended Princeton Theological Seminary where I earned a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology degree in Pastoral Theology.
I am recently married to Crawford Brubaker- we celebrated our wedding in New Orleans at City Park and a highlight of the afternoon was second-lining from the ceremony to the reception! (second-lining is a New Orleans tradition). My husband and I are members of Saint Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church where we give the children’s messages every other Sunday. I am half-way through the ordination process in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
