Myrtle Jones’ Home Dedication

What a beautiful day to be able to dedicate the home of Myrtle Jones to the glory of God. Myrtle said it best herself today, “We should serve people, but serve God first.” Home dedications gather the many volunteers who continue to remember the needs of the people of New Orleans and the residents here to witness that nothing is impossible with God.

On a day that we remember the life and calling of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we remember his “Drum Major Instinct Speech” given in 1968:

Thank you to all who have responded to the call to serve so that Myrtle now has a place to call home.
